Low Pressure Localised Misting Systems
Plant Dust Suppression

ZAG provides low-pressure localised dust-suppression systems for mineral-processing and bulk-ma- terial handling plants. Fine water mist is introduced close to the dust source, allowing airborne parti- cles to agglomerate and settle while limiting unnecessary water use and wetting of the process material

Typical Application Points
  • Crushers and screening stations
  • Stockpiles and stockyard handling zones
  • Push feeders and reclaim points
  • Tipping bins and vehicle off-loading areas
  • Conveyor transfer points, including head boxes and discharge chutes
How the System May Be Used
  • Inspect the dust source, enclosure, material flow and available water and air services
  • Position suitable misting nozzles inside or around chutes, covers and transfer enclosures
  • Create a fine, uniformly distributed mist that intercepts dust without flooding the material stream
  • Operate the system manually or through an automated control panel linked to plant status and material flow
  • Inspect nozzle condition, water quality, pressure, coverage and dust performance as part of routine maintenance
Operational Advantages
  • Straightforward installation and integration into existing plant infrastructure
  • Low water consumption when correctly designed and calibrated
  • Improved operational safety through low-pressure water and, where required, low-pressure air
  • Effective agglomeration of fine dust particles through high water dispersion
